Butcher Block Styles

Furniture Quality Lumber

We sort out and use thicker, longer  lumber to make our heirloom furniture quality butcher block.    not the narrow and short leftovers that you get from factory made wood countertops.  Fewer seams, less busy, designed and built to  last forever.

NORTHWEST ORCHARD WALNUT

The richest and darkest Walnut you'll see - ever. The same species as eastern Black Walnut but our West Coast soils bring out a unique (and rare) color and grain pattern. Very deep, dark chocolate browns marbled with port reds and warm creams.  We take time to distribute the strips or planks when we are laying out a countertop to create an even and aesthetically balanced look to the surface- with color and rippling "fiddleback" figure throughout.

EcoStatus

West Coast Salvaged Urban and agricultural waste dead and dying trees from farms and pioneer homesteads   (ask about LEED & FSC credits).
