Butcher Block Styles

Furniture Quality Lumber

We sort out and use thicker, longer  lumber to make our heirloom furniture quality butcher block.    not the narrow and short leftovers that you get from factory made wood countertops.  Fewer seams, less busy, designed and built to  last forever.

AMERICAN CHERRY

A traditional American furniture lumber and it really shines when used in our wide plank style table tops.  Cherry looks great side or end grain but its famously smooth and swirly grain, it's renowned warmth and its perfectly smooth texture really come across and distinctly "Cherry" when its face grain is exposed in wider planks.  Not necessarily unique but a classic that doesn't get used much anymore as a kitchen surface....which is why we love to use it that way.

EcoStatus

East Coast Native (ask about LEED & FSC credits).  Best color and quality comes from New York to Northern Virgina.
